High Performance Hyperbolic Metal Quadrupole Analyzer for HP 5972, HP 5971, GCD 1800, HP 5973, HP 5975

- Ideal hyperbolic form, metal rods and with three quardz holders for robustness.

- Eliminated quad contact problems from original design.

( Hyperbolic form that eliminates RF field distortion error, better transmision for both low and high mass ions)

(Three quardz holders will keep the quad stable in large range of temperture )

-Withstands heat up to 300 degree C and cleanable.

One quad for the life time of your machine.

One year warranty

Big break through…Incredible performance. Beginning with high performance Hyperbolic Metal Quadrupole Analyzer and High Energy Dynode (HED) There is no MSD that compares to this level.

High performance Hyperbolic Metal Quad Analyzer abilities:

(Best for EPA 524.2, 8260, 8270)

(Upgrades analyzer on models: GCD1800, HP 5971,5972,5973,5973,5975).

  1. System holds tune for several months without re-calibration.
  2. Scan Mode at sub level of TRILLION (LOD < .05ppb).
  3. MDL improved by factor 3-15 times.
  4. High dynamic range improved by factor of 100X plus.
  5. Lower by about 300V EMV ( extended a life time of Electron Multiplier)
  6. Passed Drinking Water and Waste Water on very run.
  7. Meet or exceed all EPA testing methods.

(only analyzer is required for this upgrade)

It’s truly a world class designed. It’s setting the new bar for the industry.

It’s a dream machine for every QA, Research and Environmental labs.

This is the first EPA friendly MSD ever in history. It’s a must have MSD for very Environmental lab.

We made your wish become reality.

There is the new chapter that needs re-writing for High Performance Metal Quad Analyzer with High Voltage Dynode (HED)… this chapter is for you to re-write….

High Energy Dynode (HED) Now your old MSD can stand up and compete with any current MSD on the market (Upgrade models: HP 5971, 5972, GCD)
  1. Low detection limits improved by factor of 2X plus.
  2. High dynamic range improved by factor of 20X plus.
  3. About 300V EMV lower (extended a lifetime of Electron Multiplier).

(only Top Board is required for this upgrade)

(The main different of HP5973 over HP5971-72 is HED)

We’re proud to make these options available for you another value added to your HP/Agilent GC- MSD.

Check this out: Belmont labs (www.belmontlabs.com) Enviromental labs in Ohio, had converted all 6 of  original working (five HP5972 and one HP5971) MSDs to high performance hyperbolic metal quad analyzers after installed the first one in mid August 2005...and two of SVOC have not failed tune for more than 7 months but please review here is the true original world from Chris Parson after the first two were install you can call Chris at 937-832-8242 for comfirmation.

Recommendation of High Performance Analyzers produced by Cal Tech Scientific, Inc.

Belmont Labs recently installed a high performance analyzer from Cal Tech Scientific, Inc. in several of our mass spectrometers.  We installed one analyzer in an HP 5890/5971 MS, and one in an HP 5890/5972 MS.  The 5971 MS is used for semivolatile analysis of soils, wastewaters, and sludges.  The 5972 MS is used for drinking water volatile analysis.  The following is what Belmont Labs has seen using these new analyzers on “real world” samples for several months.

When installed on the 5971 MS, the new analyzer produced a drastic improvement in sensitivity across the entire list of Belmont Labs semivolatile target list.  Overall the MDL’s for semivolatile compounds ranged from 3 to 15 times lower, when compared to the standard 5971 analyzer.  Another benefit of using the high performance analyzer is it’s ruggedness.  After installing the new analyzer and allowing the mass spectrometer to pump down for only 15 minutes, we tuned the instrument and promptly passed a DFTPP tune.  This tune has held for the duration that the analyzer has been installed in the instrument, and has yet to need re-tuning.  Instrument stablility has increased, and signal to noise ratio has decreased markedly since the addition of the high performance analyzer.

When installed on the 5972 MS, we saw many of the same benefits that were noticed on the 5971 MS.  Although the volatile MDL’s did not increase to the same degree that the semivolatiles did, we did notice a great decrease in signal to noise ratio.  This has allowed Belmont Labs to easily pass the Drinking Water criteria for a 0.5 ppb check standard to be analyzed before every batch of samples.  With the conventional 5972 analyzer, this was difficult and usually required several attempts.  This wasted both time, and costly standard solutions.  Like we saw in the 5971, instrument stability was greatly increased.  Internal standard and surrogate areas no longer fluctuate, resulting in fewer sample reruns due to QC failure relating to internal standard areas and surrogate recoveries.  The frequency with which the instrument is tuned has also decreased dramatically.  Belmont Labs has gone from re-tuning this instrument an average of twice a week, to having to re-tune this instrument twice in two months with the new analyzer.

To conclude based on the use of the high performance analyzer in a “real world” environment, and on “real world” samples, I highly recommend the installation of one of these analyzers.  The use of the new analyzers has saved Belmont Labs both time and money.  The installation of the high performance analyzers has also allowed Belmont Labs to greatly extend the useful life of our older equipment.  Installing the analyzers has given our equipment capabilities that rival newer much more expensive models, for a fraction of the upgrade cost.

Sincerely,

Christopher L. Parsons Lab Manager Belmont Labs
